Neighbourhood officers “close” Millfield flat |
||||
|
Dear Resident,
Following a successful application at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Friday (27 February) by your local neighbourhood officers, a three-month closure order was served on 166 Gladstone Street.
The three-month order prohibits everyone, including the legal tenant, from accessing the address, with the exception of emergency services and employees of Cross Keys Housing Association.
Failure to comply with the order is a criminal offence which could result in imprisonment for up to three months, a fine, or both. Any information about the order being breached should contact police by calling 101 or online.
This action came following a drugs warrant carried out by the team in January, where a quantity of drugs and cash were found at the address. A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and two counts of profiting from or concealing knowledge of the proceeds of crime and has been bailed until April.
Street-level drug dealing is a current priority for the team, and this is just a small part of the work they have done to address this issue. You can read more about the work the team have been doing on our website.
Have any concerns about drug dealing where you live? Report to them via the dedicated drugs webpage.
Kind regards, | ||||
