13 tickets issued during dedicated joint patrols |
||||||||
Dear Resident,
Last month, we held a community meeting in Fengate, giving those who work and live in the area the chance to talk to us about their concerns – such as parking.
As a result of the feedback from you, we joined council parking enforcement to address the issue in… 📍Padholme Road East 📍Newark Road 📍Roundhouse Close 📍Vicarage Farm Road 📍Fengate Road
Collectively, 13 tickets were issued in the space of a couple of hours for: 🚗Parking on the pavement in a manner that obstructs wheelchairs and pushchairs 🚗Parking on double yellow lines 🚗Parking on a dropped kerb
We also alerted the council to a seemingly abandoned vehicle in Fengate Road. They have since visited and issued a two-day notice – if it is not moved in the time limit, it will be recovered.
It was lovely to talk to various business owners about the work we have been doing and discussing the dangers of parking in a way that obstructs junctions.
We will continue to address this issue when we can. We can’t be everywhere, but we could be anywhere.
Have an issue you would like to raise to us? You can find out when our next community meeting near you is on our website.
Kind regards, | ||||||||
