Section 59 warning issued during dedicated patrols

Dear Resident,

Our neighbourhood officers took advantage of their late shifts last night by carrying out evening patrols in Chatteris due to complaints about vehicle nuisance. 

We stopped and spoke to those who were out and about, with one driver being issued with a section 59 warning. This means if the vehicle or the driver are found to be involved in anti-social behaviour again, the vehicle can be seized.

We will continue this work when we can to address the issue.
