Dear Resident, Can you help with our appeal? A woman has been left fighting for her life in hospital after a collision in Ely last night (14 April). The woman, in her 30s, was driving a black Vauxhall Astra on Queen Adelaide Way just before the railway bridge at 11.24pm when she collided with a roadworks taper, a bollard and then a white Iveco van.
She was cut from her car by firefighters and taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where she remains in a critical condition. There was no-one else injured. An investigation has been launched and officers are appealing for anyone with any information, including dashcam footage, to come forward. Anyone with information should report this to police online via this web page or call 101, quoting Operation Blackpool or incident 643 of 14 April. Kind regards, | ||||
