An update from your local neighbourhood team!

Dear Resident,

From rural patrols to addressing anti-social vehicle use involving motorbikes, our northern neighbourhood team have been busy responding to your concerns!

While on patrol in the rural areas of Peterborough during their late shifts, they came across a pile of fly-tipping in Ashton, and have since reported it to Peterborough City Council to arrange for it to be collected. Anyone who is found to have fly-tipped could receive up to a £400 fine! Any concerns about this issue can be reported to the council on their website.

Following reports of anti-social riding of offroad motorbikes across fields and footpaths in Werrington, those identified to be causing the issues have been issued with section 59 warnings – meaning if the driver or the vehicle are ever found to be found involved in anti-social behaviour (ASB) again, the vehicle can be seized and further action taken. More information about anti-social vehicle use and advice on how to report can be found on our website.

High-vis patrols in Helpston, Ashton, and Bainton in relation to ASB concerns have continued, with them speaking to those there about the issues and listening to their concerns. One man who was identified as causing some of the issues was issued with a Community Protection Warning (CPW), and if he returns to the area or found engaging in similar activity elsewhere in the county, further action will be taken in the form of a Community Protection Notice (CPN). Any ASB concerns can be reported to us here.

In response to recent reports by residents and retail staff regarding youth ASB at the Bretton Centre, they have worked with businesses to identify those who are causing the problems and have assisted in the issuing of banning orders.

All of these are issues that you have raised to us as a concern! Have anything else you would like to pass on to us? Let us know by completing our community survey.

It is important to note that the community survey is not a method of reporting crimes to us. That can be done online or by calling 101. If a crime is in progress, or someone is in immediate danger, always dial 999.

Kind regards,
