ATM cash trapping is a method used by thieves to take cash from machines.

The thieves insert a device inside the ATM, which traps cash that should be dispensed to the customer.

Once the customer walks away, the thief then approaches the machine after some time, opens the cover over the correct dispenser and pockets the money.
