A man who was found inside a Bolton Close house in Burwell that had been “closed” by police has been jailed.

The house had been partially closed by the local neighbourhood team on 13 November following complaints about anti-social behaviour coming from the address as well as concerns for the safety of the tenant.

The order, which was extended for a further three months and remains in place until 12 May, prohibits anyone other than the tenant and emergency services from entering.

Since the closure order was put in place, officers carrying out compliance checks have arrested the 59-year-old on five occasions after he was found inside the property.
