While on patrol earlier this week, officers from our Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) came across this van that hadn’t been taxed since November 2023! The vehicle was seized and the driver reported for the offence.

We also had to issue a Traffic Offence Report (TOR) to the driver of a van for having an insecure load after their ladder fell off the roof, causing a HGV and other vehicles to perform an emergency stop to prevent a collision.

Before getting behind the wheel, it is important to check:

🚗Your tax, insurance, and MOT are up-to-date

🚗All loads are secure

🚗Your vehicle is roadworthy
