Anti-social behaviour patrols round-up

Dear Resident,

We have been out and about on patrols across Huntingdonshire in response to your concerns about anti-social behaviour and as part of our knife amnesty week.

Here's a quick look at what we have been up to:

We visited Abbey College in Ramsey and held a presentation for the all the children between Year 8- 13 and discussed the laws around knives and offensive weapons, the consequences of carrying or using a knife, and police powers such as Stop and Search.

We also visited Riverside Meadows Academy in St Neots to speak about knife crime and how to keep safe.

Conducted speed checks in Yaxley, luckily whilst we were there, everyone was driving the limit and ticketed numerous cars in Ramsey for parking on double yellows and in no stopping zones.

Neighbourhood officers joined the police cadets and visited various shops in St Ives to buy a knife and see if staff members would ID them.

They visited shops including Townrow, Poundland, West End, Waitrose, Morrisons and Aldi.

We are pleased to say that all the shops passed the test and asked each cadet for ID.

To help us keep identifying the key areas and those causing the issues, report your concerns via our website here.

Kind Regards,

Annabelle Mullee
