Anti-social behaviour patrols round up

Dear Resident,

We have been out on patrols this week in response to community concerns about anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Here's a snapshot of what we have been up to:

We spoke to residents and staff members in the Grand Arcade about their ASB concerns, who were happy to see us out and about.

Conducted car park patrols alongside Cambridge City Council ASB officer on the look out for any drug paraphernalia.

Spoke to parking enforcement officers about mopeds and electric bikes in Rose Crescent, which have been parking on the pedestrian pathway space.

Bumped into some of the Cambridge City Council streets and open spaces team and spoke with them about needle sites and anti-social behaviour around market square.

Stopped riders of e-scooters and e-bikes on Mill Road, following concerns raised by residents at a recent community meeting.

We also teamed up with our Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) to conduct plain clothed and uniformed patrols to tackle moped crime in the city centre. Two motorcycles were seized, one for no insurance and other which was abandoned and believed to be stolen.

Do you have something you need to report? Head to our website here.

Alternatively, if there’s something you want our neighbourhood teams to focus on you can pass information to us online via our community survey here.

Kind Regards,

Annabelle Mullee
