We are appealing for people to come forward if they believe they have been approached by a possible rogue trader.

It is believed rogue traders have been operating in the Netherton and Dogsthorpe areas of Peterborough, with confirmed reports in Knole Walk, Bickleigh Walk and Bradwell Road in Netherton and Dovecote Close and Robert Avenue in Dogsthorpe. These reports have been made to us about a man offering services such as cleaning gutters and clearing trees. In some cases, he has tried to charge people for work not carried out.

We believe there might be other people in the area who have been approached but have not reported to us – this could be for many reasons, such as money wasn’t handed over or people may feel embarrassed by falling victim to these scams. We would like to assure you that there is absolutely no shame in believing these people as they can be highly sophisticated and convincing.
