Fly-tipping found near the A47

Dear Resident,

While on patrol in Castor, some cyclists raised concerns about fly-tipping along the back roads of Castor and the A47, so we went to take a look.

We have spoken to Peterborough City Council, who have arranged for the items to be removed and have a camera installed in a bid to prevent it from happening again at that location.

Do you know the consequences of fly-tipping? The council are able to issue fixed penalty notices for the offence, but if the matter goes to court you could be looking at facing more serious action such as imprisonment or fines up to £50,000.

You can find out more information as well as the option to report fly-tipping to the council on their website.

Kind regards,
