Local concerns discussed with neighbourhood officers and parish councillors

Dear Resident,

This week, your local neighbourhood officers were joined by parish councillors and residents at the Community Hall in Wansford.

We talked through issues in the area, and those in attendance were given the opportunity to ask us questions about what work we are doing to make the village a safer place. Topics that were addressed included speeding, fly tipping, and poaching.

Discussions were also had about what can be done to tackle the anti-social behaviour that comes with the warmer weather, in particular people jumping off the bridge and climbing into residents’ gardens from the river.

Officers took the time to remind everyone how important it is to report incidents to us. These reports inform our future work, and helps us to identify key areas of concern for us to focus on. You can report to us via our online report system or by calling 101. If a crime is in actions, always call 999.

All in all, it was an extremely productive meeting, with people feeding back to us how thankful they are for this opportunity to have an open discussion about their concerns.

If you were unable to make the rural surgery, you can still bring your concerns to our attention by completing our community survey.

Kind regards,
