Parking enforcement in Fletton & Woodston

Dear Resident,

Following reports from residents about poor parking in Woodston and Fletton, officers from our local neighbourhood team have been doing patrols of the area.

On Tuesday evening, two tickets were issued for obstructive parking and words of advice were given to numerous other drivers.

Do you want to avoid being greeted with a parking ticket from us? Then make sure you…

  • Don’t park on dropped curbs. These are there to make pavements accessible for all, obstructing these will make it difficult for pedestrians!
  • Ensure that there is enough room for wheelchairs and pushchairs to get past on the pavements.
  • When parking, always consider whether you would be obstructing emergency vehicles. The time spent trying to get past poorly parked vehicles is time that could be used attending to those who need us.

We will be continuing these patrols as part of our effort to tackle these issues. Any obstructive or illegal parking will be given a ticket from us.

Do you have an issue that you would like to make us aware of? You can do so by filling out our community survey.

    Kind regards,
